ludicrous really to ask a blogger why they haven't blogged on something, as if a blog implies any duty or obligation to anything beyond what spontaneously rises to the surface of thought, but I wondered Owen if you were planning to say / had anything to say about Hillsborough - the politics of stadia design, poor infrastructure, the deliberate negligence of one class towards another, police cover-ups . . . I'd guess you're no football fan, and much of what there is to say has been said already, but still, wondered if you had any thoughts.
Not much of a football fan, no - I vaguely support Southampton FC in a very, very armchair manner, which is a depressing thing to do nowadays...
I don't really have anything to say that hasn't been said (which on the subject of Hillsborough, means you can end up writing this, possibly the worst lyric ever by a group once famous for their lyrics). There is one prominent blogger I know who was there, who I presume/hope will be writing about it. I do have a thing in the (long) pipeline on stadium design, though, which might mention it.

ps don't get me started on SYMM. they'd trailed it as their own excoriating mcgovern-esque response to the tragedy. ha, is all i can say to that.
