The Rhythmus Divine

Kino Fist number one was, really somewhat surprisingly, a great success: well-dressed folk came and hung around afterwards and everything. The next one will involve food, (if I have my way) tea, and will start at 3pm. The general line of it will be Constructivism and Cinema, and will feature Pudovkin's Chess Fever, Constructivist animations by Oskar Fischinger and Hans Richter, and Vertov's late masterpiece (and favourite film of none other than H.G Wells), Three Songs about Lenin. Some of these films are available for free at Ubuweb (eg: Hans Richter's Rhythmus 21), in case you haven't seen any of them but want to contribute regardless.
