So here I am on the Guardian's telly division, giving a 4 minute precis of my 4000 word piece on Manchester for Loops. The bit where I try unsuccessfully to hide my vertigo on the footbridge in Pendleton may be especially choice.

Thanks Justin - the Loops piece, and the chapter in the Verso book on Manchester, are very indebted to your occasional comments here. Online, on trying to find the piece I ended up getting to this, so I'd certainly be grateful if you emailed the piece, unless I'm googling in the wrong place.
Oh and yes - I know Unhappy Hipsters very well. I might be making similar faces in that film. Hmmm
